Supraja Montessori Study Centre

The team at Supraja Montessori Study Centre (formerly Navadisha Montessori Foundation) has worked since 2004 to meet the growing need for Montessori teacher training in Chennai. Our mission is to offer training of a high standard, helping graduates integrate theory and practice. We further seek to establish a strong bond with the alumni and the Montessori schools in the vicinity to ensure teamwork and awareness and overall growth in the community.

AMI certificate courses are shorter and offer an overview of the Montessori approach to education.  We support our Alumni through AMI Refresher Courses at various age levels. Over the years we have reached out to parents, teachers and childcare professionals. Many of our alumni have worked with children in different capacities as teachers in schools, in social outreach programmes.

Workshops

At Supraja, we conduct events to reach out to the community. Our workshops focus on common challenges that parents and teachers face in their interactions with children. Our topics cover a wide range – the significance of multilingual education, supporting Montessori practices within the home, perspectives on oral storytelling and reading, and |preparing a suitable environment for a child’s development. These events offer participants opportunities for both study and discussion.
