People, from the very beginning, have moved from one place to another seeking food, shelter, adventure – a better life. These aspirations form the basis of human history. Elementary children draw knowledge of the complexity of social organisation from the lives of people who have travelled, mingled, settled and created systems and traditions. In this workshop we will explore the themes of migration and their place in the Montessori approach to education.
